I just bought a used 2004 ford explorer sport trac...How can I figure out what model it is for insurance purposes? I believe two of the options are just ford explorer sport trac and ford explorer sport trac XLT...there may be others. thanks.

The XLT model was top of the line meaning that it's fully loaded it has or had power everything including windows seats and all that stuff plus it had more side chrome on the outside of the body usually one could tell what model they have just looking at the front fender just around the Sport trac emblem

That's wierd...My insurance company (ALLSTATE), just needs the VIN number. They can then pull up the vehicle build for insurance costs. Does your insurance company "Nickel-and-Dime" you for everything?
