Default 2002 Taurus won't sart...

2002 Taurus would not start. I tried to jump it...took about 15 minutes but then started, warmed it up...shut it off but then it would not start. I tried to jump it again but it would not do anything. I checked to see if anything was lose on the battery but there wasn't...got the battery charger out...set the battery charger to 50 amp start, waited 10 minute...Taurus would not start...tried it again but it still would not start.
One thing I did notice was that when you would turn the ignition, the speedometer would move...it would go up to 30-35 mph and then stay at 20 or so...what's that about.
Anyway, I decided to let it charge overnight, woke up this morning and the it still would not start...battery charger says that the battery is fully charged. It was still doing the same thing with the speedometer but I also noticed that you can hear something from the back of the car when you try to start it. It sounds like a humming/buzzing sound, which also comes from the front. Also when you start it, it makes buzzing/humming sounds and also clicks...is that the starter...alternator??? Should I still take the battery to Sears or something, maybe the battery charger is no good???

most shops will check the battery for free. when it doesnt start, what exactly does it do? does it turn over normally, or just a rapid set of clicks?

Clean battery cables, check starter solenoid, or maybe starter motor bad, good luck
