93 taurus gl problems
I have a question for you mechanics out there, I have a 93 taurus gl FWD of course, and I have noticed vibrations at higher speeds, figured it was probably an alignment. The garage I had been using closed, and I took it to another garage, they said $320 for tie rod ends and a wheel bearing assembly, with labor and another 40 for the alignment. I went ahead and bought the parts online (or a lot cheaper of course) and a taurus repair manual and I was simply wondering how easy it is to install tie rod ends (inner and outer) and the wheel bearing. I'm really good with engineering problems, know my way around under the hood (or behind the tires), and have all tools I would need, I think. Once I had installed the parts, I would just take it to the garage for an alignment because I have no idea how to even begin on that one. Any advice, comments, or opinions would be very welcome.

RE: 93 taurus gl problems
The outer tie rods are easy. The inners you will need the deep tierod socket that you might be able to rent at a local parts store, or you can use a 1 5/16 (I think) crows foot and a long extension. You can find the correct size with your new inner tie rods. You will need a press to replace the wheel bearing or just remove the knuckle assembly and take it to a good parts store and have them do the press work.
You could most likely fix the vibration by getting the tires checked and balanced
