96 taurus tranny wont shift

96 taurus tranny wont shift
I just replaced my tranny(ax4s).problem is, it wont shift.
it goes smoothly into drive or reverse, no jerking. fluid level is good.
I have checked to make sure all sensors are plugged in, and they are.
Any body have any idea's what to do next????
