Trying to help my buddy. He has a 97 Taurus with the big oval stock stereo. At one time (before he owned it). It had a built in feature that when the car phone had a incoming call the stereo volume would automaticaly shut down & the stereo face would display "call". Earlier the car phone was disconnected & the stereo still worked fine. Later the car had the computer replaced & since the stereo does not work, but the stereo face continues to display "call". Even though the car has no phone installed? Any ideas on how to make the radio work again?
