Default Blower motor weep hole

2006 taurus....Water is coming out of the weep hole at the bottom of the blower motor when it rains and the passanger side floor get soaked. I put a hose on the windshield and ran the water and I watched the water come out of the weep hole. Why and how is the water getting into the blower?

I believe your vehicle has a cabin filter. I would suggest starting there and checking for a path to the blower motor. If you aren't sure where it is located, you usually access it by opening the hood and on the passenger side just below the windshield you will see clips to hold the plastic shield in place . If these clips are removed you can remove the shield and gain access to the cabin filter.

Ok, so the only way water can get into the blower is thru the cabin filter. I took the 3 clips off, seperated the cowl from the bottom plastic piece, there was another plastic top cover (about the size of the filter) above the filter, took the filter out, cleaned the bottom screen out and put it back together. The cowl has 4 clips on it that go into the metal frame, 1 was bent under leaving a small gap between the windshield and the cowl piece. Fixed the bent clip, now a snug fit between windshield and cowl. Cabin filter was clean, now the only thing i need now it a good rain.

I was/am having the same issue. Oddly enough, it started when the guys at Speedee oil change changed the cabin filter. I noticed one of the clips on the cover was broken, which left a small enough gap for water to enter.
