Default Cabin filter

Good day all! I had my 2000 Taurus in for an oil change and they told me it was time to check/replace the cabin filter. Three questions:

1. Where is the filter located?
2. Can I change it myself?
3. Where can I get it?

Thanks.

You might want to obtain some of the plastic screws/holdowns for the cowl piece you remove to get to the filter. They have a habit of breaking when trying to remove them.
