Check Engine Light
i have a 02 Ford tarus the check engine light wont go off, i ran the OBD-II code and got P1633. the scaner its self said
manufature control
auxilary input
auxilary output
and when i looked up the code it says
"ECM Keep Alive Memory (KAM) voltage too low
ECM detected the KAM power to the battery was interrupted
Causes
1. battery disconnected
2. open or short circuit condition"
I tryed to erase the code but as soon as i turned the car the code came back up. i dont even know where to begin trying to fix this problem.

RE: Check Engine Light
Ok, here's what I would do. Check all your fuses. if my research serves me right, pay close attention to fuse #21 under your dash, if you don't know where its at it should tell you in your owners manual. I believe it to be a 5amp fuse. if that one's ok or vice-versa check your under hood fuse box, should be located on the drivers side next to your brake booster and washer fluid box(i could be wrong on that) there is a 10amp fuse that supplies power to several systems including that 5amp fuse under your dash. let me know if this helps.
