Default Key less entry

Can anyone tell me on a 2000 ford Taurus as far as setting the code for the buttons on the drivers door (key less entry) .

There's a procedure for the code setting in the book but it says there is a tag on the computer that will give the present code that the car is set up with I guess from the factory.

My problem is finding the computer that is mentioned without tearing into the car. Can anyone tell me the location of the computer (ECM) in the 2000 Taurus and if that is what they are referring to?

Is this the one under the driver seat? Anything I should or shouldn't do when resetting the codes?

Thanks for any info.

Default Try this

Look behind the instument panel to the left of the brake pedal....I'm not talking about tearing anything out, you just have to wedge yourself onto the driver side floor to look up. There should be a small module up there that has some wires coming out of it. On it you shold see 5 numbers. That's the factory code.
