My 2000 Taurus Rusted away among others ! My story! Well back in early 2001 I bought a new 2000 Ford Taurus, yes it was NEW with 7 miles on it, and ever since then I REGRETTED IT!

It started out at about 24,000 miles when the trans started to slip took it to the dealer and they said hay no big deal its a linkage. They later called me tell me they would have to pull the trans but it was covered under warranty.

It turns out some Jerk put a seal in there incorrectly which caused it to eventually leak and slip, yes it was covered but they billed ford thousands for it.

Well My car has been had all kinds of problems since , let see the
1)gas gauge sometime reads empty when it full.
2)my dome light turn on and off when they want
3)sometimes I lose power to my heater or radio until I slam the trunk.
4)The front end bearings have been replaced 3 times
5) the brakes and rotors have been redone 3 times
6) the oil pan gasket was leaking drips of oil cause the gasket pushed out and had to be replaced.
7) the door light on the dash sometimes has a mind of its own
8) the front end seems to have a mind of its own even though it aligned.

Now this is just what happen at under 60,000 miles.
Now my car is at 8.5 years old and 82,000 miles.

Yes I SAID 82,000 miles

the door panels are started to rust but that ok....

I took the car to have the front end looked at and it had a broken front coil spring, WOW guess what?,, the coil springs were recalled cause they can crack and puncture your tire. Luck I caught it before that happen

Well the dealer replaces the front coils , a brake light assembly and a few other recalls. They wont do the gas tank emissions RECALL cause it may need straps and I wont pay for them.

hmmm.

Well the bad part is that the SUB FRAME under the front right side has a rusted threw spot the size of your fist! YES BIG HOLE! the dealer said oh no, that shouldn't of happened!

Well needless to say they say its unsafe to drive but they wont replace it for free of course even thou they say it should not of rusted out. the rest of the frame was fine, just in one spot.

WELL I told them (dealer) and then called ford (mich) consumer dept and everyone agrreed a car with 82,000 miles and 8.5 years old Should not have RUSTED OUT like this, but of course there was nothing they could do for me!

Well This weekend Im going to put up on a lift and video tape the sub frame rot and post it on youtube and drive my many websites with traffic to it.

not to mention, They (ford) will never get my bailout vote if needed in the future and now Im goign to go look at new Toyota's!

Shame Ford .. no excuse for this, my non ford cars that are older dont have anything gong on like this!
