Default 66 T'bid Landau-temp,fuel level and oil guages drift to the right -no reason ???

Hello all,
l am encountering some problems with my dash guages on my 1966 Thunserbird Landau, oil press, fuel level and water temp, being that for no apparent reason they will all drift off to the right whilst all is Ok with all levels running well.
l am thinking it is an electrical problem , maybe a bad earth , but l'm not sure where to begin to look..... anyone encountered this problem and have a fix answer,
Cheers and thanks in advance for any input.

Improper generator to alternator swap, or could be dash voltage regulator or bad ground.

Started on the easiest , the voltage control unit, removed the connector with the radio supressor , placed it back on up side down , slightly bent the other connector away, at this time , problem seems to be corrected.

Thank you David
