My 04 explorer is broke. Check charging system displayed. Instrument panel died . then car did. Goes a few blocks w jump, then dies again. Was hopin was battery.hubby n I both out of work. Please let me know.......

 

I would venture a guess as the alternator being bad. Iknow that is not what you want to hear, but from what you have written points to that. Usually if it is just the battery it will continue to run if the alternator is good. Since you say it dies while running, I would suspect the alternator. Sorry.
