My 1996 Thunderbird started to running rough and loosing power. I dropped the fuel tank to check out the fuel pump and notice the check valve on the end of the return line has broken off and was on the bottom of the tank. looks like a flutter valve. The fuel pump was replaced 1 1/2 years ago. Could this be the the problem for the rough idling.
