I purchased this car and discovered 2 issues. First, the cruise doesn't turn on nor engage, and the electric seat on the drivers side, specifically the seat back will not move forward, only to the rear. When I try to move it forward it puts a big strain on the amp gauge, any idea's?

Since no one has responded so far, maybe something to check.
A good place to start with the cruise control is , the fuses. Then if OK, see if you are getting power out to the cruise servo.
Sometimes junk gets jammed under the seat and causes problems , have you checked that out yet? If nothing is found there , you need to determine what is causing the heavy power drain to the seat motor which could include wiring to the motor for forward movement or path from the switch to the motor.
