Default 2001 Ford Escape EGR Valve

I have a 2001 Ford Escape v6 3.0 XLS and I am wanting to sell it but the Enginelight is on, I took it to AutoZone and they said it was the EGR valve, So Ireplaced the EGR valve and the EGR pressure feedback censor. I reset the lightand it came back on. I don't know what else it could be, the car runs like adream but that light just won't go off. Some times at a red light the RPM'swill kind of jump a little bit, like the car is wanting to move with my foot onthe brake. Any help you can give me would be great Thank you.

Do you remember what the code(s) were that they found? As you know by this time, the code(s) only tell you what system is malfunctioning and it could be the valve , the feedback sensor, or even clogged EGR passages. If you could supply the codes it should help .
Whenever a repair is made or defective part is replaced the keep alive memory requires a certain number of trouble free drive cycles to erase the light. The light can also be erased by disconnecting the negative battery cable for approx 10 minutes or with a scan tool. You should be aware that when the battery is disconnected you will lose things like radio stations and certain driving habits that were in the computer and it may run a little funny until the new habits are learned.
