does anybody know how i can set the keypad code on the 03 expedition i just bought

The code is usually located on a white electrical box located near your jack. The number is not easy to read, it requires a flashlight and looking at it at a angle. Good luck.

 

Hi, first you will need your factory code and there is no way to erase the factory code except by replacing the module. Here's the procedure:

[ol][*]Enter the permanent factory keyless entry keypad code.[/ol]
[*]Press the 1/2 button within five seconds to activate the programming mode. Holding the 1/2 button for more than two seconds after activation will erase the stored customer code. The door locks will lock, then unlock, confirming the code is erased. The existing code will not need to be erased to program new a code.[/ol]
[*]Within five seconds, enter the new five-digit keyless entry keypad code. The door locks will lock and unlock to confirm the new code is programmed.[/ol]

Ford used to put the keycode on a sticker on the top of the module. Look behind the left side cargo area trim. The module is located there. It will have a 5 digit number on it. It's made of black plastic.

Otherwise you will need to go to the dealer and have the code pulled. You will need this to add a personal code.
