2008 E-350 battery dying
I’ve got an electrical gremlin I need some help with. My work truck is a 2008 E-350 with the 5.4 engine. The truck has a WorkPort utility body on it. Since the weather has turned cooler I’ve experienced a problem with the battery dying about every two to three days. I did an amp test by pulling the negative battery cable and connecting a multi meter. The truck has a constant .50 amp draw. I found that the amp meter drops to .01 when I pull the 60 amp fuse from circuit #22 found in the distribution center behind the driver side headlight.
I looked in the factory manuals to see what circuit 22 powers but the manuals have nothing. No fuse directory or wiring diagrams. Can anyone tell me where I can get this information? Has anyone else experienced thisproblem?
Thanks for any help,
Charlie

Thanks for the bump.
I did purchase a wiring diagram book for a 2008 E-Series truck. I have done some research in the book but due to the time change it's dark by the time I get back from work and I haven't had a weekend free yet. If I pull the fuse on circuit 22 overnight the truck starts in the morning. It's a PITA because I loose all my radio settings.
Thanks again. I'll update this thread when I find time to trace the problem down.

Sounds like there is a module with a problem. #22 is listed as possibly involving the ABS module. If you locate it and unplug it and the drain drops you found the problem.
Believe it or not the radio also is part of a module and if there is a problem within the radio module it can keep all the other modules from going into sleep mode. Pulling the fuse and having to reset the radio is a good clue.
A good scan tool can help find the culprit sooner.
