I would like to remove the grille to install a big screen behind it, but haven’t figured out how to get to the bottom bolt on each side, I know on the XLT there is a little clip that comes off and the bolt is under it. On the Lariat it has a chrome piece that I am sure comes off, I just don’t know how, any help would be appreciated.

I believe this is what you want.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: Gas engine shown, diesel engine similar.

1.  
   1. Remove the push pin and position the air intake duct aside.
   1. Remove the push pins and the upper radiator sight shield.

1. Remove the retainers along the top of the panel.
   Torque: 36 lb.in (4.1 Nm)

Radiator grille moulding Type 1

1. On both sides.
   Remove the radiator grille mouldings.

Radiator grille moulding Type 2

1. Remove the radiator grille moulding.

All vehicles

1. Remove the bolts.
   Torque: 36 lb.in (4.1 Nm)

1. Press down on top to release the clips.
   Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

1. Vehicles equipped with front camera and washer only.
   1. Disconnect the camera washer hose and the camera electrical connector.
   1. Pull out to disengage the locating pins along the middle of the grille.

1. Pull out to disengage the locating pins and remove the radiator grille.

Installation

All vehicles

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Vehicles equipped with 360° cameras only.

1. Align the 360° cameras.
