After an update done by dealer I seemed to have no more front facing camera!!
dealers can’t fix
Ford ignoring my calls!!
is there a fix or NOT?

 

You should have a copy of what was done regarding the update. Could you allow us to see just what it involved?

Hello Hank and ty for responding.. the update was a recall, from /ford having to do with distortion of both front and rear cameras… I believe they have it labeled as update 513… I had gotten a “ding” in my Ford app and followed by snail mail recall letter from Ford saying the problem of both cameras,.. funny… I was having NO problem and as soon as that letter arrived in mail I happen to go out to go somewhere and boom both front and rear cameras viewage looked “cartoonish” and extreme distortion…. So I brought the car into the dealership and they indeed did an update which cured the camera distortion… the next day is when I found out I no longer had use of my front forward camera to aide in parking….. just by pushing the button…. In order for it to give u some picture, at least 5 times u have to place car into Park, Reverse, Drive , back again into Park and then try and push button (camera) sometimes it will work and give u just 2 seconds and I mean 2 seconds of vision to park car, and sometimes u get nothing… I went on FORD FORUM and asked in the general discussion part and found I am not the only one… there are litteraly a whole slew of 2021 edge st with same scenario … and it happened after this particular update… its a long thread, and some folks after reading this opted not to get update… hmmm.. well I contacted Ford serveral times, and now I feel like i getting the run around.. and yes I did bring to another dealership.. no one seems to have the answer as to why! Any help u can give me I would very much appreciate it…..thanks… rory
