Default 4.6 aluminum intake swap to an 03

ok i have a 4.6 out of a 96 crown vic/t-bird.
and I have a 4.6 out of an 03 mustang ,I already have run the 96 in my henry J for about 4 years, and has started smoking alittle bit at lights .
plus it has about 200,000 on it too.
They are both 2 valve engines .I am looking to do the swap and my harness is set up for the early aluminum intake .
my major and only concern is the intake swap from the plastic to the aluminum intake.
I know I have the different coils from my 2 coils on the front ,to the 03 has individule coils on plugs set up.
has anybody done a swap like this and does anybody know if the intakes are interchangable .
just trying to know before I ripe off the intake on the 03 .

ok so far I learned that the 03 motor is a PI head engine so the aluminum intake from the 96 is totally different and they wont work.
so I have to swap the fuel rail over and injectors on the 03 are alot bigger than 96 but they work with my fuel rail. It just doesn't line up with the mounting bolt holes I could redesign the brackets, but does anybody know if there is a way to separate the rails so I can use the rear cross over tube of the 03 rail cause the EGR tube comes up on the driverside and is really close to the fuel cross over tube in the rear?
By the way the exhaust manifolds are different where the exhaust pipe bolts up .
along with moving or extending the wiring from the throttle postion sensor and the idle speed control valve.
Has anybody used 1 of those dorman intakes it has 2 metal spacers they say the go somewhere under the thermostat housing but I cant seem to figure out where I have no clue ?
