59 ford turn signals
Anyone know where or even if there is a flasher unit in these old timers. I've looked under the dash and cannot find one. Thinking now that the switch on the column itself is the flasher unit. Any help is appreciated.

There has to be a separate flasher for the turn signals. It is located under the dash.
I don't remember if they used a 2 prong or 3 prong flasher . Some of the older vehicles had them fit into a holder that was attached to the metal structure of the dash somewhere near the steering column so you could hear the clicking when the flasher was working. One of the tricks you can try is to use a mirror and flashlite and go hunting for the silver metal flasher with a plug on it. There wasn't that much stuff under there so it shouldn't be too difficult to find. If someone removed it just look for a plug with holes for 2 or 3 prongs.
