No offense taken whatsoever, Mark ... I wish I were the master of the atom though ... that would have saved me a lot of trouble in life

Please keep in touch! And no, I haven't forgotten my promise with the beer when I'll get to Denver. We're yet to hike the US Rockies, so I'll set time aside to thank you in person. Same goes true for Hanky and Hayapower, I hope life will make us cross paths at some point, or at least I'd be able to return the help I received when I needed it most.

All the best,
Dan

Thank you for the offer . I find it very rewarding to exchange experiences and ideas and in response to anybody that might want to call me master of anything. Go ahead , just don't call me "master" . I don't like to post too much personal info on forums or anywhere on the net for that matter, since there are people out there that are just waiting to take advantage of that info. Not all places are like this , but that's just the way it is.
Now on the humorous side,
I can recall when I received a call from one of our drivers stating that he had developed a bad coolant leak from the radiator. So I packed up everything I thought I would need to make temporary repairs to get the truck home. When I arrived at the location I just laughed to myself because he didn't tell me on the phone that he had an accident and hit another truck. I still laugh about that one every time It comes to mind.

You know, Hanky, I still amaze myself with how stupid I can be. I've never lost the ability to laugh at myself. I never, but never say "Hi, I'm Mark, Senior Master Technician", as I can still stub my toes with the best of them. Dan, you can certainly understand this as I remember mentioning o2 and fuel trims. Testing the plug wires just never crossed my mind.
And again, I think it was the ever present Hanky that mentioned that. You know, I've always said that between me and someone else, you'd have about one good tech. My father and I always used to bounce ideas off each other, and usually (sooner rather then later), we'd come up with a soloution. There are many times at work when I'm confronted with a problem that I really, really wish I could ask him about it.
And that's the best reason I like this forum. I'm not perfect (no where near), but I strive todo better. And with someone else looking over your shoulder (Hanky and Dan), your far less likely to make mistakes or forget something.
As I tell people, I have to spend a good bit of time thinking of unconventional soloutions to problems that are unique. Engineers can design one car and make a million copies, but out here in the real world, I get a million different problems with the same car. It keeps me on my toes.
And THANK YOU to you both. You've made this a really great place to land after all the years of 'free help' I've given people.

I believe you hit the nail on the head. I'm pretty sure we share one very good belief and that is however we learned what we learned we are not afraid to share it with anyone. All the information and experience we have acquired does no one any good if it stays locked up in our heads.
I have come across people that believe if they told you the answer to the problem (automotive in this case) you would know more than they do and they actually had no problem telling you so. I have to tell you guys it's a pleasure to read your posts and hopefully make a worthwhile contribution in assisting to solve some of the problems folks post here. It's always great when one of us adds the missing item that was forgotten or overlooked.
