99 V10 issue
Good Morning,
I have a 1999 Dutchmen Class C Motorhome. It has the Triton V10 with 31,000 miles. Here is my issue...
When I start the engine, it idles fine, and revs fine. Seems to run great until its in drive and I touch the accelerator. Once I touch to pedal, it stumbles and almost stalls. Once I get it moving, and while driving, it seems to run fine. So the hesitation is at initial acceleration. Any ideas?

I'm aware it has only 31,000 mi., but what kind of maintenance has been done to it aside from oil changes?
Does it happen only when cold?
Does it happen every time you start off?
How long has the problem been present?
Has it sat around for a period of time where the fuel quality went downhill?
Have you added anything to attempt to correct the problem?
Have you looked for any hoses/vacuum lines that might have come off?
Any unusual noises from engine compartment?
As you can see, there are many unanswered questions and to throw out a bunch of possibilities without knowing more history doesn't do much good .
Can you help us out here?

On the trip home after purchasing it, there was 1/2 tank of fuel in it. I didnt ask it if was new or old fuel. It stumbles hot/cold every time I 1)Put the vehicle in drive and touch the accelerator, 2)Come to a stop, and start again.
I added a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to the tank before I filled it up. When I got it home I took the doghouse off and checked all the wiring for mouse damage and wear, and didnt see any. I have not changed the plugs, which I typically do on vehicles I buy but have not simply because of the size of the project. New air filter. Have not checked the fuel filter.
Everything looks good under the hood. New vehicle battery and house battery. No CEL.
As I said before, once I get up to a couple miles an hour it the heistation quits and she tuns like a champ. No loss of power while driving. Thats all I can think of.

Those V 10 s can lose a cyl and most folks can't tell it's running on 9.
No doubt you you will be taking a long ride with it and you are right on track with changing the plugs, fuel filter and other things that may have deteriorated while setting.
If there was no particular problem when it was parked , it just may all clear up with use.
If possible , try to stick with Motorcraft plugs, they work best in Fords. This may be one of those things where there is no real problem and it will run better the more it is driven.
