air bags deployed

Default air bags deployed

hello brothers and sisters i have a 95 ford windstar and the front bumper facia got tore off and the airbags deployed. how do i get the airbags back in the steering wheel and dash and recharge the sytem is there a do it your self way or should i get ready to take out a loan im up here in canada thanks for any help.

the air bags and sensors need to replaced. unfornately your car is problemly totaled. the bags can cost over 1000 bucks each.

sho_ted is correct, once the bags are blown they are worthless, as well as the sensors, and the control module which contains a fuse that blows when the air bags are deployed.

Just cut the old bag out and glue the cover back together.It will not affect the operation of the van.It is a shame that the bags blow in really minor accidents.
