Default Brake Pads seating concern

Ford BA XT 2005 (Good ol' Series 1)

Hi, just installed new front brake pads, but the new front right brake pad is sitting up a bit! I mean its against the disc (say 90% of it) but a little bit sits too high!

All other pads (ie the 3 others - both sides) recess perfectly well. Plus I confirmed they look exactly like the old ones, same size and the box says made for my car (confirmed online as well)

Now it does happen to be the back one (front right wheel) so it 'is' a tad hard to see, but I checked and checked and checked! And those side metally thingies are in right, everything is good; but this one brake pad is sitting too high. (oh and I ended up just letting the brake fluid poor out - motor end - that hardened rubber tube wasn't coming off for anyone! Fluid levels now ok, that's NO issue).

I ended up putting the wheel back on (since the housing still fits over it perfectly well) Confirmed brakes work. Thought who cares, it works! Then went on the computer just to see if anyone else has had this) and ended signed up here! Lol.

I'll probably end up taking the wheel off again! (damn scissors jacks, take forever to jack up!) I don't know, you try to save money and ONE little thing happens as per USUAL. I didn't want pay no damn mechanic for brake pads install!

Signed
Backyard mechanic - only when things break on my car! (which is NOT often)

O.k. I don't know how to help you with your brakes, other than suggesting to take them appart one more time.
But here is a tip for the scissors jack: clamp a hook into the power drill insert it instead of the hand crank ....be careful, man!

Just a suggestion but the next time you pull that wheel off put the lug nuts back on hand tight, this will pull the rotor up straight and tight to the hub. Is it possible that the rotor was cocked a little?
Please use a jack stand, safety first.

Be safe and good luck
