broken bolt extraction
ok, here is the problem. i am changing the EGR on my 99 f150. i snapped off both bolt heads but was able to remove the valve. my problem now is, i have two bolt shafts frozen into the block side of the vavle. there are some threads sticking out, enough to get a bolt onto. my question is, am i going to harm anything if i use my welder and weld the bolt onto the shaft of the broken bolt? i dont want to zap anything and do more damage. if you have any other suggestions please feel free to speak up, any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks and have a good day.

It's always good practice to remove the ground cable from the battery anytime you plan to weld on the vehicle.
Have you tried to soak them with a good penetrating oil and a pair of vise grips?
Heat always works, but don't know how much room you have around the broken bolts.

Heat is good if it is safe to do so. You could try to drill it out and retap it. I am not familiar with your engine layout so It may not be possible depending on its orientation.
One of the best penetrating oils is Kroil. Better than PB Blaster. It is a proprietary formula. It may very well have acetone and tranny fluid in it.
Google on Kano labs to learn more. You can't buy it at an autoparts or hardware store. They only sell to business. You can buy directly if you have a business. Otherwise look on Craigs List and ebay as people will sell it from time to time.
