Corona and new cars
So, I am deciding between a 2020 and 2021 Expedition. I can get a much better price on the 2020 and plan to keep it for a long time.
It occurred to me that there were all kinds of manufacturing disruptions in 2020 because of Corona. Plants were shut down for part of the year. When they were not shut down, they were probably changing their processes (for social distancing, etc). Same goes for parts suppliers.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how these disruptions would affect the build quality? Is there a way to tell what month a car was made? Should I just pay more and get a 2021? Ordinarily, I would go for the previous model year and get a better deal, but this year I am not sure. Any thoughts?
