Does my '95 thunderbird have posi traction? How do I know? What exactly does posi trac do?

 

If you look on the tag on the rear end, you'll see a bunch of letter and numbers printed on them, and if one of them is "L", it's a positraction rear end that distributes power equally to both wheels. This help in control, and a bunch of other things.
Most of the birds from that generation were posi rear ends. Not all, but most.
