Default electric problems

hello all,
my parents own a 2006 cmax 1.6tdci. a few days ago the climate control fan suddenly stopped working. i have pulled out and put back in all fuses and all fuses are fine. after checking all of the fuses now every time i turn the ignition on the clock resets itself, also when i turn the car off and take the key out the fan control panel stays lit up.. hazard lights work but on dash the indicator things dont flash.... have tried plugging in obd2 scanner tool and it wont link to the car but did the other week...does anybody have any idea what the problem is? thanks

regards Harry

Hi Ya Harry!
I don't know if this is the problem with your vehicle , but a poor ground from the battery to the sheet metal of the vehicle can drive us up the wall. Just to cover all the bases it would be a good idea to clean any and all grounds you can find that connect to the sheet metal of the body. They can look good but have poor connections underneath, That's why they have so many of them! There are ground connections all over the place inside and outside and if you get most of them you just might get rid of the gremlins.
