Default Free mot for life

Hi. I'm new here so sorry if I'm in the wrong place. I bought a used ford last sept with a years warranty and free mot for life. However on booking my car in for its mot they are saying that ford have never offered this mot deal. It is through inchape ford dealer. I have tried searching online for some evidence that they did have this promotion but I can't find anything. Plus I moved house and can't find the paperwork relating to the vehicle order. My car is in for mot tomorrow and they are sayi g they won't honour the deal. Does anyone remember or know anything g about this previous promotion. Many thanks.

The Ministry of Transport test (usually abbreviated to MOT test) is an annual test of automobile safety, roadworthiness aspects and exhaust emissions required for most vehicles over three years old used on public roads in the United Kingdom.

Did they provide any type of paperwork relating to this when you bought the vehicle? If anybody was giving me something FREE for as long as I owned a vehicle, I would have it in writing. Such as the LIFETIME warranty on my 07 Focus engine regardless of its mileage. It's in black & white as to what is covered.
