I have a 2005 FreeStar with the factory DVD player. It worked fine (and often) for over a year but now it continually tries to eject the DVD. A DVD was in there but I was able to retrieve it with a pair of twseezers; but since I have a 3-year old and a 3-year old that sit by the player; I don't know if another DVD is jammed inside and broken, or not. I pulled the fuse and relaced as a sort of reset but no joy. I then tried to remove the DVD player to have a look-see. After removing the 4 apparent mounting screws the DVD player will stil not release from the van roof. I don't want to apply too much force for fear of breakage. So 2 questions: any ideas on a quick fix, or any ideas on how to remove the player?

 

There's clips that hold the DVD player to the mounting bracket as well.. Once the screws are removed, support the player and pull down on the sides to release the clips..
