Default GROANING

I have a question about my 1994 ford e150 conversion van, she has over 178,000 miles. Lately she's starting to groan just after she's started or waiting at a light or idling, she does'nt do it all the time. It does'nt seem to affect the drivability. Any ideas? by the way its a 5.8 engine

The only thing I can think of this is it may be the clutch fan failing.[hr]Try to wiggle the fan and see if it has any free play in it if it does it should be replaced.[hr]Also listen for abnormal sounds in the fan.

what if the clutch fan does'nt wiggle. then what else could it be? i was thinking could it the ABS system because it almost sounds like air is being release or air is being pressurized

It could be an exaust leak then.Or if you suspect the abs system try to see if it is coming from the abs pump.
