Hard to start warm
We have a 1971 Torino with a new 302ci, with a standard 2 barrel carb, mechanical fuel pump. It starts great cold and runs fine. It is very hard to start when it is warmed up. Once we get it running it blows a lot of black carbon smoke. We have tried new coil, new plugs (E3s), overhauled the carb prior to installing on the new engine. We did not have any problems when the engine was brand new, about 500 miles ago. It seems to be flooding without pushing the gas. Any ideas?
