Help with Ford Edge st forward camera

Default Help with Ford Edge st forward camera

Hi all. I bought 2021 new Edge st in July of 2021. Have had my share of numerous problems.. hence since July it has spent 9 out of 11 months in shop. Every month given another appt

right now my issue is my button to initiate the front forward camera doesn’t work. Has anyone had this issue? Dealership throws me to chat or call Ford direct n they throw me right back to dealership.. they were awfully quick in taking my cash last July but now seems I’m a nuisance case.
started with all sensors quit working then to center computer screen turning off on its own.. then had distortions in both cameras then to cameras taking turns while I’m driving n turning on by themselves .. so they were on “racing” tge view of the road. Super bad since it’s hard to “ not” look at this fast pace moving scene when ur supposed to be watching the road. Dealership has tried to fix all bugs. Some they did. Like car would not accept fuel! Said it was a purge valve.. well I’m down to this forward front camera which is for me imperative to need to park! I spent good money n would love for all features to work as promised.. I d not know what to do or where to go. I have hours of taped video.. hence it’s getting me no where. Been promised this problem which indeed is an issued would be escalated to the Ford engineers.. it’s almost July! It’s almost one year since I bought. Is there anyone out there who has this problem n can verbally help me fix it on my own? Thank all in advance. Starting to think I got the lemon of the bunch. Ps. U can’t call Ford directly u get a foreign agent who tells u to bring it back to dealership!! They tell me to call Ford!please anyone helps would be greatly appreciated ty

Don't know how far you might be from another Ford dealership, but, You might consider the following,

Stop in there , speak with the dealership owner or Service manager and ask what they can do to help correct the problem.

Some places have good experienced people and some have what they can get. It could be time well spent. If you feel the present dealership is not getting anywhere, it doesn't pay to keep going there. There are good techs that have solved problems the engineers never thought of.
The biggest problem today is finding them.

Hey ty for my first response. Not familiar with how forums work too well but to reply to your thought.. on May 24 I did make an appointment with another Ford dealer at 10:30am. They basically said u got the update from your dealership already n we have no fix for your problem.. go back to where you purchased the car!
I agree. Finding the right tech. I was hoping on this forum someone who had same problem close to me coukd direct me to Tyne dealership they went to
unfor now I can’t even get the girl advisor to email me back. Sent several emails with no response from dealership n u can’t get thru to mother Ford to mk complaint. I just want car fixed!

Default More gremlins

So today I got in n now the a/c seat turned by itself while I was driving. N at same time my iPhone unpaired itself from car!!
sadly my car with its awesome color of titanium gray will have to be bought back by Ford

After reading everyone else I will ask my dealership or perhaps one last try to take out last update completely n reinstall. N hopefully I get a geeky tech who can go above n beyond .. thoughts anyone?

I have tried different dealerships…. Have also gone on other ford type forums, found a guy who has same car, said his started up by itself in middle of night in his garage! Wow… I just want the dam camera to wrk … now my front a/c seats and heated steering wheel is turning on , by itself… its like there is a ghost… I cannot believe there is no direct customer service number to actually talk to a REAL tech from Ford, they refer you back to the dealership…. It’s a rat race….. never again… biggest costly mistake ever…..
used to have a 2010 Kia Soul.. “the ghost” it was called they made a few in this odd ghostly color… well hell that car was the best not a single issue EVER.. hence.. if I go thru with this buy back i will buy a Kia Soul and have peace of mind…
BUT any other help on my issue of front forward camera update, if anyone has heard, or if anyone has a phone number that actually connects me to Ford company would be appreciated
