Default Hesitant Shifting

Hey everyone,
I'm new to this forum and I've already got something to submit. I've got a 2002 Tuarus 3.0L SOHC. While driving, the transmission has a slight hesitation when shifting gears. Its got 63K mile on it and I've been told that I probably need a transmission service. Does anyone know if this is a symptom of a a trans service?

I would deffently try it.[hr]Alot of problems dissapear by changing the fluid and filter.[hr]But a transmission mechanic will tell you diffrent because they will want to rebuild it.

a filter and service may help, but if it hesitates real bad you may have low oil pressure, i would start with the service and see what it does for you

Ive seen some vechiles if the tranny is just a pint low on oil they act up ,,,,,,,What does the oil like ----, still a nice red color an flow freely off the stick,,, or does it smell burnt an the oil kinda discolored ????

If you plan on keeping the vechile for a few more years u might wanta price out having a aux. tranny cooler installed ......63K , I change my tranny fluid every 20,000 miles,,,, the oil is cheap ,,, trannys aint , of course I dont do much pleasure riding ,,, old habits die hard
