Default How to get a drive or reverse 12v signal

How can i get an electrical signal when i am in drive or reverse

02 f350 super duty

What are you trying to add power to or control? Reverse would be easy depending on load/amps, Drive would be more complicated. The DTR (trans range sensor) may be an option for a D sense, but its an input/monitored by the PCM and wouldn't be a power distribution point. Only R & D? would the lower ranges be an issue if triggered?

Building a circuit to control my plow. I don't need to power the circuit with how I detect D and R. Just see that the wire is hot.
