RE: interior lights stay on, door ajar light
Not sure what an F-150 has as far as a door switch, but I do know that Ford has put them in with the door latch. I had A Lincoln Mark VIII that was that way. All I did was to spray some WD-40 in the door latch and work it several times to loosen it up. If this doesn't work for your interior light problem at leaste it will lube your door latch.

Your problem is most likely in drivers door latch assembly. Open door and get a can of PB blaster and soak the living crap out of the latch mechanism as much as you can through the opening you are givin. Once properly soaked close and latch door several times sort of aggresively. Do this about 10 times and retreat latch with another dose of PB blaster. Next get a good spray type white lithium grease and soak inside latch again. This should take car of your problem

Push in dooor switch/switches on one side. Then try the other side. Could be bad switch or malajustment at the switch (bent panel at contact area, slipper switch, etc.) or dirt (the spray should help that).
