maf sensor?
I have a 2004 f150 5.4 lariat. leaving the store jumped in started the truck huge plume of smoke driverside then engine light came on, got home put the CanOBD2 on said P0174 bank 2 ... pulled the Maf Sensor but see no damage. Replaced Maf Sensor and OBDII gave me po171 and po174 o2 sensor lean codes so replaced all 4 O2 sensors.
took it for a ride was smooth until I pulled back into driveway then it idled down and died. did that twice. checked all vacuum hoses & fittings. sprayed brake clean around hoses and exhaust with no change in rpm.I am going to change spark plugs tomorrow because I don't think anyone before me did. I have had the truck 2 years. getting a bit depressing.

Well, the smoke it most definitely from the codes. One thing to note is that the P0174 (fuel system at adaptive limit lean, bank 2), is that it's only on one bank. If it was a MAF sensor concern, it would most likely trip a P0171, for bank 1, also.
If it's not misfiring (which if it is, you'll have to fix that first), then the first thing to do is to check the vacuum lines/connectors/rubber hoses for integrity and make sure that the rubber pieces aren't collapsed and/or arent leaking.
If that's all ok, then I'd say get a scanner and look at the long term fuel trims at idle; if they're more then 10% rich, then you'll have to go deeper.
Let us know.

That doesn't sound like the MAF, sounds like an air leak somewhere else...

I hate to troll on your thread, vpolarbear, but I have had an issue similar, and did get codes for both bank 02 sensors lean. changed IAC, changed MAF, Changed fuel filter, cleaned throttle body, used throttlebodycleaner, and propane to check for vacuum leaks, tested fuel pressure, and still can't figure it out. maybe bad exhaust manifold gaskets? I do have the leaky manifold tick(sound reminds me of an old farm truck). Any ideas?

Greasemark help, I have now changed maf,4 02 sensors,8spark plugs(w/boots),Fuel filter. on the reader it is reading long term fuel trim=0 and short term trim 28-56.
also says Open Loop-fault due to detected system fault..
Here is something very confusing, the part number for the rear 02 sensor for ford 5.4 is 22500 important info is (rear of converter only!) now if I just type the part number in at the same site I get 22500 1/2 ton truck under 8500 important info(Front of converter only!) suggestions?
