Default New here, trying to learn a little!

Hello everyone. I'm Shannon, and I am trying to learn a little more about my 1986 f-150.
It's been in the family for 15 years, and we love "the purple beasty." Over the last year I have really gotten into jeeps with my husband, but now I want to get into the truck.
My husband bought it used a very long time ago, and had a 3" body lift and 35" tires put on. It looks like it has lift blocks under the leaf pack in the rear...or are those big boogers stock? Does any one have pics of the stock rear suspension? I think the main leaf is starting to invert, but I'm looking at it in comparison to a cherokee lol.

This truck used to be his daily driver, and about 10 years ago he completely stripped the interior, and repainted the exterior himself. Unfortunately after having kids and getting other vehicles, we've been letting it sit too much. The poor truck had moss everywere on the exterior! (hey we live in WA ok?) Anyhoo, I have pulled the interior again, and I'm almost done redoing all that. (it was red when stock, then grey, now black.) I'm hoping to find a 1 stage paint that is close to the current color, because it just wouldn't be our truck if it was a different color!!! The years it spent in CA did major damage, and the clear coat and paint are in pretty rough shape.
It has a couple of quirks, and if anyone has ideas, please feel free to share them! When you are reversing, it bucks like crazy after a few feet. The E-break gets stuck "on" and doesn't release when you pull the handle. I've just gotten used to the bucking and reverse a few feet, ease off the gas, reverse a bit, ease off etc lol.
Oh and WHAT are those rubber rings stuck in the coils? the are placed in the bottom of the coil. One of them is cracking through. they are about an inch thick?
