I was impressed when my new 1984 Honda would tell me when to change the oil. Like my 2005 Freestyle, it was based on miles driven.

I traded in the Freestyle for a 2011 Edge. I understand that the Edge message center is based on driving conditions and is not a fixed number of miles. The manual says it can be up to 10,000 miles or one year. The car has 10,130 miles and I have never gotten the change oil message. I just ran a "vehicle health report" and it says that every thing is OK.

Is this feature broken or is the manual wrong?
