Default Please Help

I have recently purchased this 88 e-150 conversion van from a very nice old gentleman. Everythings in tip top shape. The family and I have taken it on four good road trips and have had no problems whatsoever. Good 3500 miles on it in 6weeks. My last trip was about four weeks ago to San Fran with my son, there was one instance were there were very strong fuel smells inside the van for about 30 mins, I was however rolling 9 deep in the van and going up some steep hills, anyways it stopped and didn't happen agian. This morning I go out to start her up and she just turned over and over and right when I stopped the ignition it had a slight firing sound then just stopped. I and not mechanically inclined with vehicles so wondering If someone could give a few things to look for. Oh las night I did hit the van while parking my other vehicle next to it, just a good bump though.[&:]

Did you check the inertia fuel cutoff switch? Generally it takes more than a bump, but may be a good place to start looking.. Can't remember on the early E series, but it's either on the passenger floor/firewall area, or the drivers side near the e brake.. Will have a white or red button on top.. To reset push it in..
