Radio suddenly won't come on in '09 Escape XLT
Hi everyone,
Hopefully I'm posting this in the correct place. We have a 2009 Ford Escape XLT. All of a sudden today, the radio won't turn on. Normally, when we first start it up, it always flashes "Ford Escape" on the LCD for a couple of seconds and then the time, temperature, and compass immediately come up and then we can turn the radio or satellite radio on. Today, it only shows the compass and temperature and "Ford Escape" is stuck on the display. It no longer displays the time and we can't turn the radio on at all since it seems to be almost frozen on the Ford Escape logo. It has never done this before in the 3 years we have owned this vehicle. We just got back from a 6-day trip and it was sitting in an enclosed parking garage at the airport while we were away and the radio worked perfectly fine the day we left. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this or how we can possibly fix it? Any advice/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
