Remove rear outside door handle on 2002 taurus
I need to remove a rear outside door handle so that I can get room and leverage to pull or push out a dent, then I will put the handle back in place. I have the inside door panel removed and I see that there appears to be only two bolts securing the door handle. There are also the required rods for the actual door latch. But I am only worried about getting the door handle out far enough to reach in and push or pull out dent, then put handle back into place. How much work will this require? Will I be able to do this just by removing the two bolts(screws), sliding out the handle, then putting it back together. I do not want to mess with the connector rods if I do not have too. Your help is appreciated.

Probably depends on where the dent/damage is.. They drop into the door opening for clearance for the cam arm portion of the handle.. But unclipping the lock/actuator rods isn't a huge deal to get them off and away.. Easy enough to pull the bolts and see if you can gain enough opening for access...
