Well the Ford ones will definantely be the best. But maybe you just have residual fuel that needs to burn off. 3.2 used Audi A4 portland oregon

If you smell gasoline fumes in the cab I doubt it is from one or another spark plug type. You either disturbed a vapor hose or something with the fuel system. A thorough recheck of all the hoses you may have disturbed when changing the plugs is a good idea to check.

Just out of curiosity, what plugs cost that much each? We use Motorcraft plugs and have never had a problem. I agree with hanky. But I would look at the fuel rail to see if any of the injector "O" rings are leaking. If the fuel rail was pulled on to remove a plug, the "O" ring might not be sealing properly.

Good point regarding the injector "O" rings, I completely overlooked that possibility. Thanks way2old !

It was just a thought. I have seen people remove the fuel rail to remove the plugs. I don't know, of course, if that happened in this case. That is why the forums are here. We all jog each others memory. Some of your replies have made me say "Oh Yeah, I forgot that".
