Default Service Engine code --Next step?

service engine soon light is on (E150, 4.2, 01).

Got a readout at one of the major parts chain, their equipment stated code: P0304
cylinder 4 misfire condition.

Step 1: Pulled plugs and on inspection they all looked good. Since I had new, installed those.

Step 2: With volt/ohmeter tested plug wires. All readings were around 12 to 14 ohms.

Step 3:What to do............????/

Should I replace the coil pack? With only a volt/ohmeter, is there a way for me to check?

Additional comments.......engine starts very well, the only symptom I may be noticing is; there is a little shake, very slight, when pulling away from a stop. I tend to feel it at lower RPMs.

The coil pack is approximately $80. Have I presented sufficient information to support picking up a coil pack as my next step?

The van has been running very well, it has 134K miles on it. Doesn't seem to be near ready for the junkyard.

Any comments/questions/input?

Thanks in advance,
Doyle

To test that coil.Swap itwith another cylinder and see if the code follows the coil. If it does, it's the coil. Check around for different prices. I can get 8 for 300 bucks off ebay that are genuine motorcraft.
