Default Shift problems

I have a 2000 Ford f150 step side 5.4L V8 4x4, for a few months now, my truck seems to shift to a higher gear to guick and won't shift down, so i'll be driving around at about 50Km's, and the truck will be in 4-5th gear when it should be in 2nd or 3rd, and seems liek the engine starts boggin out, and as soon as i hit the gas, it bogs out more and will really really accelerate slowly. I thought it could be the trannsmission is going, but the shifts are smooth and have all my gears, then i thought maybe it could be the computer or my truck is using bad fuel. If i could get some help or ideas of what it could be and how to fix it, that would be great thanx

Maybe check this out as it will cause "Transmission Problem" symptoms.
