Default Steering Me Wrong

Hi,I've got a 1951 F1 pickup and the steering is downright SCARY!!! You're constantly fighting to keep it going in a straight line. When the truck is standing still and you turn the wheel, the front lifts. For instance, if you turn the wheel to the right, the left front fender seems to lift. The truck has the original straight axle.Does anyone have any suggestions short of putting in a whole new front end which I can't afford right now. Thanks.Vinny

Default Steering Me Wrong

I checked with my son and he said someone already replaced the kingpins. Could the steering box create the problem? Does anyone know if a rack and pinion can be put onto a straight axle. Not replacing the entire front end but just a rack and pinion. If so, rack and pinion from what car? Thanks.
