I just downloaded an up date for Sync on my new focus st can I download it on my f-150 (2011) both have voice controlled navigation etc.?I am guessing the map info will be more up to date

 

Probably not. How did you aquire your update? Did you order it on-line or get it thru the Dealer. Normally the updates are NAV System specific as all NAV systems have serial numbers and the update DVD is coded with the specific serial number of the unit to be updated. This eliminates piracy and maintains profits for the company supplying the updates.

 

no, the systems are totally different. The nav. application uses a CD that comes from
Ford, whereas SYNC is updated over the net.
