Default Tachometer installation in 2000 v6 Ford Ranger ? Which (-) 'green' tach lead 'pulse' wire ? Question

(This is a re-post due to incorrect year model in thread title)
2000 Ford Ranger, 3.0liter V6 Flex Fuel, Automatic, (No stock tach) - Tachometer installation question:

Hello,
I am trying to install an aftermarket (Autometer) tach in my 2000 For Ranger, 3.0v6 flex fuel.

I am trying to find the tach lead (Green wire) point of installation. On my older cars, I used the coil (-) wire, on my S10 I used the ECU (-) wire, but I know little about Fords (My first Ford truck) ....

So my question is, is there a 'stock' wire on the guage pod cluster that I can use (No stock tach on my truck), or which ECU / other wire would I splice ? PS, this is distributorless ignition.

Thanks !

This is a re-post ... I stated the wrong year model and could not edit it.

(Incorrect year model - I know the trucks changed from 2000 to 2001 so I wanted to correct myself)

You'll need to add an aftermarket 'tach driver' for the distributorless ignition.... MSD offers one, and there's other vendors/products available as well...
