Transit 2.0 tdci idle problems
I need help with my Ford transit 2.0 tdci 2005 model.
Here it goes:
Suddently after a while with normal idle it starts "hunting" and misfiring, white smoke etc on idle after a while with the glow light flashing in dash
and the knock sensor fault code comes up in formidable, this sensor is replaced but still the same problem.
Sometimes the van shuts itself down.
When driving in 4th or 5th gear, the van shakes and the engine seems "out of sync".
Also when accelerating, the engine hesitates a little bit in all the gears.
I feel the engine runs a little hard, but I don`t know.
I have had alot done to it, knock sensor, oil sensor and filter, dieselfilter,
injectors overhauled and reprogrammed in formidable.egr is blocked.
I feel that it is the injectors that is not really programmed, I don`t trust formidable.
But do you have any concrete solutions or tips for fixing this problem?

I don't know if this could be the problem with your vehicle , but when a diesel sucks air into the fuel lines because of a loose fuel line connection or an opening where air can get into the lines to the injection pump the engine can start to hunt and eventually stall due to the lack of fuel. This could include the pick-up tube in the tank on up to the hi pressure pump. A piece of clear tubing is placed in the supply line to visually see if this is what is happening. When you do get it corrected , would like to know what the problem was, thanks.
